Rainbow Trout Physical Map - 2nd Generation

Dr. Yniv Palti, a research geneticist at the USDA ARS National Center for Cool and Cold Water Aquaculture in Leetown, WV and Dr. Ming-Cheng Luo from the University of California, Davis, produced a 2nd generation physical map of the rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) genome. The project has led to an integrated genetic and physical map, which was produced in collaboration with Dr. Carine Genet at INRA, France. The genomic resources in this economically important aquaculture species will ultimately help realize genetically improved strains of fish. CUGI is hosting the physical map.
