Functional Genomics
The Functional Genomics group at CUGI is supported by the Chen Lab. The group utilizes genome-wide, global experimental approaches to study gene function by integration of the information and reagents provided by structural genomics. DNA microarray and related proteomic technologies are applied for the investigation of the function of an organism's genes as revealed in their patterns of expression and regulation in association with biological phenomena. The group is also developing methodologies in statistics and data mining for the analysis of large-scale information derived through this research.
CUGI's Functional Genomics Group is equipped with a Agilent BioAnalyzer, a Agilent microarray scanner, and a Stratgene Mx-3000 real-time PCR System. The group has experienced personnel capable of measuring gene expression using either microarray technology or real-time RT-PCR. Bioinformatics methods have been developed and integrated for data analysis and identification of biomarkers or signature genes.

RNA Quality Guarantee
Isolated RNA usually has a concentration between 100 ng/uL and 1000 ng/uL. Genomic DNA is removed from the sample using RNase-free DNase which assures extreme purity of high quality RNA. RNA integrity is tested using Bioanalyzer. Samples with a degradation or contamination spectrum will be removed from further downstream experiments.
Shipping & Delivery Costs
For all our services, shipping costs will be added if delivery of certain product or analysis report/CD is desired. Analysis report can be sent through email or downloaded from one of our servers with no extra charge.
