Rainbow Trout Physical Map - 1st Generation

Dr. Yniv Palti, a research geneticist at the USDA ARS in Kearneysville, WV, in collaboration with Dr. Luo at UC Davis, has produced the first physical map of the rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss). The project will ultimately lead to an integrated genetic and physical map. The genomic resources in this economically important aquaculture species will ultimately help realize genetically improved strains of fish. CUGI is hosting the physical map.
