CUGI maintains a leading edge in the genomics and bioinformatics revolution and offers the development and distribution of high quality genomic and bioinformatic tools and services for the life science community. The Institute provides expertise in areas that focus on the discovery and functional analysis of important genes, networks, and genomic regions from plants, animals, fungi, microbes and humans using an integrated suite of specialized biological tools. We work with our collaborators and clients in the following ways:
CUGI will be closed for the Thanksgiving Holiday, Wednesday, November 25 thru Friday, November 27, 2009. Please ensure samples arrive by Friday, November 20, 2009
CUGI releases a new tool for manual calling of multi-dimensional hybridization pooling experiments, including manual calling of positive hits and built-in deconvolution to elucidate probe to clone mappings.
CUGI now offers high-speed cellular analysis and sorting services using BD FACScan and Cytopeia Influx instruments.
CUGI bioinformatics has released a set of Drupal modules to assist with the construction of web front-ends for GMOD chado databases. The software is freely available on the CUGI and GMOD websites.
Syngenta donates the genomic resources for watermelon genome sequencing to CUGI. Clones and filters for the BAC library may be ordered online.
Dr. Keith Murphy now serves as the new CUGI director. His research focus is centered on heritable diseases in canines.
